Oaks and Acorns — Parent-Child Group

These classes offer toddlers a nurturing environment in which to play and explore, and parents a place to connect, find a supportive group, discuss and share child development and parenting issues, and learn about Waldorf education.

  • Fosters creative play and nurtures age-appropriate self-initiated exploration, imaginative capacities and problem-solving skills. 

  • Play environments, both indoors and out, support the child's development of fine and gross motor skills

  • Being with other children introduces the developing ability to share and play together

  • Parents gain greater awareness of child development, and trust in their own child's capacities, through quiet observation, teacher-led discussions, and informal parent conversations. 

  • For children 12-30 months old

Teacher Theresa utilizes both Waldorf and Pikler/ RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) approaches in her classes. She brings many years of experience as a Parent - Child educator, Nursery, Kindergarten and Grades 1 - 5 teacher.

Good to Know

  • For toddlers, children age 1 to 2.5 years, and their caregiver(s)

  • Teacher: Theresa Catlin

  • Cost: $432 for 12 sessions

  • Sept 6th to Nov 22nd

  • Saturdays, 10am to noon
