Our exceptionally rich pre-literacy program includes daily poetry, stories, and singing. The children develop deep listening and comprehension skills through the interpretation, creation and acting out of puppet shows and stories. These fundamental skills promote active, engaged and enthusiastic learners.
Pre-numeracy skills are enriched through handwork activities including sewing and finger knitting, as well as cooking, crafts and vigorous outdoor play. Children consistently engage in large and fine motor skills which prepare them in learning to read, write and manipulate numbers.
Creative play supports physical, emotional and social development and allows children to learn through investigation, exploration and discovery.
Regular exposure to the natural world, incorporated through our robust weekly class hike, as well as outdoor time each morning and afternoon, instill a reverence for life in all forms.
