In the nursery classroom, the children find comfort in the consistent rhythms provided by the teacher, creating a space defined by beauty, warmth and wonder. Each day, the children take part in circle time, outdoor play, and preparation of snacks and meals. Storytime, puppetry, baking, drawing and painting are also incorporated in the rhythm of the week.

Young children learn through imitation, through their senses, and through activity. In creative play, they develop social skills and mastery of their emerging physicality. Through songs, nursery rhymes and stories they are nourished by the beauty of language. As they grow, their imagination and natural sense of wonder will foster inquisitiveness and an intellectual curiosity.
