First Grade Teacher

Berkeley Rose is welcoming applications for a full-time first grade class teacher for the 2025/26 academic year. Successful candidates will enthusiastically engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues and the parent community to create an educational environment aligned with Waldorf pedagogy, our school mission and program goals. The ideal candidates will be certified Waldorf teachers, have experience working with children and be committed to collegial work and self-development. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Full time position. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Benefits offered include health insurance (medical, vision, dental), tuition remission, mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Current class teacher salary is $67 – 71K annually.

Early Childhood Substitute Teachers

Berkeley Rose is seeking loving and enthusiastic Nursery and Kindergarten teacher substitutes. We welcome applications from those with an interest in Waldorf education and early childhood education, who enjoy working with young children, and have morning or afternoon availability at short notice.

Early Childhood credits are preferable for Nursery but not required for substitutes.

Hourly rate is $30/hour.

Grades Substitute Teachers

Berkeley Rose is welcoming applications for on-call substitute class teachers. The ideal candidates will be certified Waldorf teachers or credentialed or experienced elementary school teachers and/or be actively engaged in Waldorf Training. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly rate $30/hour, which includes any preparation required for the on-call assignment.
