Kim Knittel

Kim and her family found Berkeley Rose in 2012 after moving to the Bay Area from Brooklyn, NY. She studied English literature and film studies at Smith College, earning a B.A., and pursued further studies in film at New York University.

Her career has spanned both independent feature film production and the restaurant industry. She worked in production offices while also holding roles as a waiter, assistant sommelier, and floor manager at three-star restaurants in Manhattan, as well as at Chez Panisse in Berkeley. Additionally, she managed the production office of a small television commercial company, taking on multiple roles within the organization.

Kim has been trained as a Bach Flower Essence therapist and is passionate about making flower essence remedies for friends and family. She also loves to bake and specializes in accommodating food allergies.

She has two children who graduated from Berkeley Rose and began working in administration in 2017.
