Jane has had an active private therapeutic practice for children with multiple learning, social, behavioral, and sensory integration challenges for the past 20 years.
Jane headed up the Upper Grades Learning Support program at the San Francisco Waldorf School and was the Director of the Learning Support program at Greenwood School in Mill Valley for three years. She was also a Resource Specialist at the Twin Ridges School District at schools in Napa, Sonoma, and Sacramento.
For seven years, she provided educational therapy for special education students in the Sonoma County School District and was a consultant to schools and school districts in Northern California, providing assessments, screenings, IEP consultations, and training workshops.
During her more than 30 years in education, Jane has been a school director, teacher, counselor, and resource specialist at both private Waldorf and public schools. She was also an educational consultant, conducting parent and teacher workshops and consultations.
She has worked as a high school counselor at the East Bay Waldorf School and taught classes in Social Integration and Conflict Resolution at numerous schools in California. Jane has lectured widely in the U.S., Australia, Mexico, and South Africa and has been a keynote speaker and organizer for Waldorf Kolisko Educational Conferences in Australia and Mexico.
Jane has specialized trainings in the Lindamood-Bell Phonemic Awareness Program; multi-sensory math support programs; numerous reading programs; Handwriting Without Tears Sensory Integration Program; Making Math Real; autistic spectrum disorder and ADHD interventions; social skills training; advanced writing programs; Extra Lesson; and Waldorf movement and artistic modalities.
