Ohlone Sisters visit Berkeley Rose

||| On Wednesday January 25 we were blessed to have a visit from the Ohlone Sisters—Carla Marie and Desiree Munoz. Carla Marie and Desiree are Rumsen Ohlone culture bearers. They did three presentations over the course of the morning—one to Lower Graders (1-4), one to Kindergartners, and one to Upper Graders (5-8). Their sharings included language, song, story, history and insight into the lives of Ohlone people today as well as those who lived “in the time before time.” Watch the video to get a sense of what they brought to Berkeley Rose:
