After School Program
Berkeley Rose offers an After School Program for currently enrolled children ages three through Grade 5. The program extends the school day with meaningful activities, outdoor play, creative experiences, and a familiar daily rhythm.
Early Childhood children (age 3+) may stay until 5:00 p.m., while Grades 1–5 students may stay until 5:30 p.m. Program schedules and rates may be updated year to year, so please refer to your most recent enrollment materials for current details.
Preschool – The Preschool After School Program has limited enrollment; children must be at least three years old, and families must submit the Preschool After School Interest Form and receive approval from the Early Childhood faculty before attending. Drop-in care is not available for Preschool.
Pickup times are 3:00, 4:00, or 5:00 p.m.; pickup before 3:00 is generally unavailable due to rest time.
Kindergarten – Kindergarten students may attend through a subscription plan or, when space permits, drop-in care.
Pickup times are 3:00, 4:00, or 5:00 p.m.; pickup before 3:00 isn’t available, as the program has activities/rest time planned and children may be on an afternoon walk.
Grades – Grades 1–5 students may attend through a subscription plan or drop-in care, with pickup anytime between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. Please ring the bell at the main gate, and your child will be brought to you.
A complimentary supervised extension (2:30–3:00 p.m.) is currently available for Grade 1 students; sign up via the Ravenna Parent/Guardian Portal by 5:00 p.m. the evening before.

Subscription Pricing is charged as an annual fee, divided into ten equal monthly payments from September through June and paid directly through FACTS. Pricing is based on the number of days and pickup time selected - see the charts below for specific rates.

Drop-in Pricing
Drop-in care is intended for occasional needs and is not a substitute for regular subscription enrollment. It is available only for Kindergarten and Grades 1-5 (not Preschool) and is always subject to available space and staffing.
Kindergarten drop-in care is a flat fee of $60 per day, available from regular dismissal until 5:00 p.m. Grades 1-5 drop-in care is a flat fee of $40 per day; children must be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m.
Families must self-elect for drop-in care through the Ravenna Parent/Guardian Portal by 10:00 a.m. on the day care is needed. If you miss the 10:00 a.m. deadline, please email office@berkeleyrose.org. A request is not confirmed until approved by the school, and drop-in charges are billed through FACTS the following month.
Occasional Care Beyond a Subscription Time: families enrolled in a subscription plan who occasionally need care beyond their regular pickup time may self-elect for this through the Ravenna Parent/Guardian Portal by 10:00 a.m. the day care is needed (or email office@berkeleyrose.org if you miss the 10:00 a.m. deadline). Approval depends on available space and staffing. This additional care is billed at $20 per hour beyond the subscribed pickup time, invoiced through FACTS the following month, and is not prorated.
Our Extended Day Program offers an engaging environment that often includes specialty classes and activities that might include: handwork, chess and math clubs, chamber orchestra, choir, dance, games, cooking and hiking. These programs may come with an additional surcharge.
